Welcome to Pine Lake Preparatory -
A North Carolina School of Excellence

Pine Lake Preparatory is a tuition-free, K-12 public school authorized by the North Carolina State Board of Education in August 2006 as a North Carolina Charter School. Pine Lake Preparatory is located in the southernmost portion of Iredell County within minutes of I-77 and convenient to Davidson, Mooresville, and the surrounding area.

Beginnings: Pine Lake Preparatory opened as a Kindergarten through Second Grade public school in the 2007 –2008 school year. In the Fall of 2008, Pine Lake Prep expanded to Kindergarten through Eleventh Grade when we entered our permanent to a brand-new facilities 22-acre campus . In the Fall of 2009, we added the Twelfth Grade.

The Pine Lake Board of Directors is committed to providing an exemplary educational program for all students which will include a nurturing environment, college preparatory courses (Honors and AP) at the high school level, service learning, appropriate athletics program, K-12 Spanish language program, and a focus on the visual and performing arts.

Pine Lake Preparatory is a choice for families who are seeking the following:
*   Exemplary teachers
*   Nurturing classroom environments
*   A challenging and engaging academic environment in High School
*   A required Spanish language program K-12
*   A required Arts program for all students K-12
*   A required Service Learning Component for all students K-12 with required Service learning hours for High school graduation, and
