Congratulations to the Mock Trial Team for competeing in their first regional competition on Saturday, February 21. Team Members include Micheal Chuber, Shayna Gordon, Conner Kopchick, Ben Napper, James Tiller, Madison Tiller, and Christian Van Dyk.

The Mock Trail schedule 2008 - 2009| February 21, 2009 -- Regional Competition |
The North Carolina Advocates for Justice hosts 10 day-long regional competitions throughout the state. During the two qualifying rounds at Regional's, students present both sides of the competition case. For example, if a team argues the defense side in the morning round, they will present the plaintiff's/prosecution's case in the afternoon. A panel of legal professionals evaluates each team. Scores are not based on the merits of the case, but on how well teams demonstrate critical thinking skills, public speaking, courtroom demeanor and teamwork. |
| March 21-22, 2009 - State Finals Ten regional winners and six qualifying teams will meet in Charlotte to compete for the title of State Champion. |
Meetings for the school team will be held on every other Tuesday.
The web site will be edited everytime there is a meeting to keep everyone posted with new information.
