Coral Riley
Masters of Library Information Science
Coral Riley has lived in the Lake Norman area for over 10 years. She attended UNC Charlotte for an Undergraduate in English Education and taught at South Rowan High School for 3 years while pursuing her Masters in Library and Information Science at UNC Greensboro. She then taught for 3 years in Stanley County at a K-8 while earning her National Board Certification. Then she worked at an "At-Risk" Elementary School in Charlotte, however after teaching for 7 years she took time off to be with her kids and launched Lake Norman Woman Magazine to celebrate the success of local women in her community. In this time she developed a passion for technology, web design, photography, and computer science so she decided to go back into the classroom at Statesville High School to help launch the AP Computer Science Principles and Adobe Visual Design Programs. In her free time she can be found spending time with her amazing children. Coral also leads a woman's book club called, "Mom's on a Mission", volunteers at her church, is involved in Cycle to the Sea where she rides 180 miles as an assist rider for paralyzed hand cyclists. She is an avid yoga and extreme sports participant and you can find her striving towards the next challenge. Her other passions include painting, reading for personal development, and mentoring young leaders in the community.

My teaching philosophy is to make school a happy and magical place, filled with learning something new every day! I am a Disney/Mickey Mouse fan, so that tends to lead to my "thinking outside the ordinary box" type of teaching. As a teacher, it is my hope to show students if they can Dream It and Believe in themselves, then they can achieve anything in their path! I truly believe all students should be given an opportunity to learn and explore their skills. My photo explains it best... We are all butterflies...Sometimes all we need is a little nudge of confidence to spread our wings and fly toward endless adventures in learning!

My name is Hunter-Caroline Seagroves, and I am beyond excited to be a part of the PLP family. I truly believe that every student is exceptional, and that it is my job as an educator to give students the tools they need to be successful! My core belief: All students can learn and be successful. School should be a place children want to be! I am centered on a positive school culture that is student-focused and exemplifies PRIDE from students, staff and community.
Erica Singleton
I am a former Division 1 Track and Field athlete for Winthrop University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. Following my college throwing career (shot putt, discus, javelin and hammer), I started work at WJFK-FM where I rose from a book reviewer for the G.Gordon Liddy Show and member of the Redskins Radio Flagship Broadcast team to become the station's Programming Assistant. In 2008, I was voted Creative Loafing’s Best of Charlotte Critics Choice for Best Local Reporter for my work at The Charlotte Post covering sports, education, entertainment and travel. I have contributed original sports, travel and business pieces and photos to regional and national publications, including Lake Norman Magazine, The Columbus Times, and Budget Travel Girlfriend Getaways.
An avid swimmer and drowning prevention advocate, I have worked for Little Otter Swim School for six years, instructing swimmers, training instructors, managing facilities, and helping to develop an upper level competitive swim program. After working in Aquatics, I returned to media work as the Director of Communications for Professionals Beyond the Game, a non-profit organization committed to prepare former collegiate athletes for life after sports.
I have served the PLP community as the Middle School Swim Coach and High School Track and field throwers coach.

Theatre as an art form challenges creativity, and cultivates an environment of courage, kindness, helpfulness, and thankfulness. I believe there is a place for everyone in my classroom as well as on the stage. You just have to take the opportunities given to you to fly. "With all there is, why settle for just a piece of sky?" - Barbra Streisand
Sheryl Sterling
Master of Arts, Curriculum Specialist
I enjoy guiding children in their learning and providing a rich environment that will spark curiosity. Building a community of learners in my room each year is the first goal. Support and involvement from parents, other teachers, and staff at Pine Lake is valuable as the children move along on their learning journey each year.
Erica Stolzenberg
M.Ed in Elementary Education with a focus in STEM Education
I was born in Massachusetts, but shortly after, my family moved to Pennsylvania. In 1997, we moved down to North Carolina and I have lived here ever since. I attended High Point University (HPU), where I earned a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.Ed in Elementary Education with a focus in STEM Education. I have been teaching at Pine Lake since 2014 and love being a part of the PLP family! Every step of my educational path has helped mold me into the teacher I am today. I learned from some of the very best educators, and I constantly try to put into action the things they taught me. To me, one of the most important parts about teaching is building strong relationships with students. Having positive relationships with all of my students is very important to me. I always do my best to support students (past and present) during games and performances outside of the classroom in order to grow even stronger and long-lasting relationships. "Without a solid foundation and relationships built on trust and respect, no quality learning will happen."
Rebecca Stratford
Associate's in Business Administration
I have been at Pine Lake since 2011 and I started in the role of Campus Services Director, following the majority of my career in corporate aviation for a large Charlotte bank. In the 2013-14 school year, I transitioned to the Director of the After3@PLP Extended Day Programs. I love being able to be in the Lower School and have interaction with the kids. I am able to see the after school programs making differences in children's lives and it's truly rewarding.

I love working with children and seeing the excitement on their faces as they learn new things and participate in hands-on-experiments! Everyday is a different story. There’s nothing quite like seeing the spark of understanding on a child’s face as a lesson “clicks” for them

I absolutely love being a part of the Pine Lake community. The main reason is because of all the awesome students we have that make every day for me a blessed day. My main philosophy is to demonstrate to our students the FISH Philosophy which is BE THERE, CHOOSE YOUR ATTITUDE, MAKE THEIR DAY and PLAY. When we teach others to live by this, our whole world is a better place.I have been married to Kevin for 22 years and we have two daughters, Riley who is 17 and Lainey who is 13. We have two dogs, our Golden Doodle, Sadie, and Shih Tzu, Lilly. We live on 16 acres in Troutman and love the peacefulness and the slower pace of life in our community. We are very involved in our church, and part of a huge outreach called the Pay it Forward. I am an avid reader; enjoy spending time with my family, dogs and friends, love to watch golf on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and serving others any chance I get. Living a simple life is what makes me happy:)
Samantha Tolosa-Zenklusen
I am originally from Canada and moved to the U.S. where I played NCAA D1 soccer. I've lived and taught in Miami and Brazil and coached for the FC Barcelona Escola. Our family loves to get outside and be active, watch sports, listen to live music and travel. We are raising our 4 children to be bilingual. I cannot wait to teach my students in both Spanish and English! I take pride in finding at least one thing that makes each student fall in love with P.E. and instilling the mentality that "It's not I can't. It's I can't YET."
