Welcome from Executive Director

Welcome to Pine Lake Preparatory (PLP).  My name is Andrew Moceri and I am the Executive Director.  I have had the privilege of serving at PLP for over a decade, first as a teacher, and I am honored to call Pine Lake my home.  Over the past 15 years, PLP has grown to serve more than 1,800 students and employs over 185 passionate educators and staff.  Upon accepting the position of Executive Director, I made a commitment to our students, families, and surrounding community that providing an exceptional education that will yield chance and choice for college is the number one priority.  That commitment is clearly articulated in our why, our mission.

Preparing Students for College, Career and a Purposeful Life

Students from our graduating classes have been accepted to some of the top universities in the country: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, University of Michigan, UNC Chapel Hill, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, West Point, Wake Forest, Colorado School of Mines, Carnegie Mellon University, Vanderbilt, and the United States Naval Academy, among many others.  Our latest graduating class was awarded more than 11 million dollars in merit-based scholarships.

In addition to paving a way of endless opportunity for our students through preparedness and rigorous academics, we also believe there must be just as much emphasis put on building character and a sense of civic responsibility.  Our core values are embedded within all aspects of the “Pine Lake experience.”

Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Driven to Excellence, Empathy

Our commitment is to provide an exceptional educational experience for all of our students and that means we have the responsibility to focus on the whole child – socially and emotionally, as well as academically. I must also emphasize that even the most motivated students need the support of not only dedicated educators, but also engaged families and supportive community members.  We want to be part of a team.  Our past, current, and future successes are the result of our combined efforts, and I anticipate our best years are ahead of us.

I will end with this, while our website helps to illustrate many of the great things happening at our school, nothing will replace the actual experience of stepping onto campus to explore the mission, values, culture, and family community that makes PLP unique.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to learn about our wonderful school. I hope that you will take advantage of coming to say hello.  We look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely,

Andrew Moceri
