Fine Arts
At the core of Pine Lake Preparatory's charter, established in 2006, is that Fine Arts play a critical role in the growth of a child. Middle and Upper School students choose from the following Fine Art disciplines:
- Band
- Orchestra
- Theatre
- Visual Arts
Upper School students are encouraged to choose one Fine Art discipline to follow for their four years, to gain a broader experience in their chosen areas.
Lower School students have one class of instruction each week in Music and Art, and there are opportunities for music enrichment after school.

"When it comes to growth mindset, I don't think that there's any discipline that can show that physically as much as the fine arts, especially when you're learning an instrument. It's not just about group ensemble skills. You also, as an individual, have to grow, and you have a responsibility to your ensemble. So I think that every single day within an orchestra, band, any performing arts class, you're working on yourself, and there's no peak. There's no 100%. You're always working to get better. "
