School Supplies: 

All students Kindergarten through Grade 8 will need specific supplies, and lists are posted at each School News page of the web site.

Upper School students, grades 9-12, will need just basic supplies for the first few days of school. Teachers will provide more info about supplies needed for their classes.

Summer reading lists have will be posted to each school News page in May. 

 

• Lower School families are encouraged to register with the Iredell County Library to access books, and track reading progress. This isn't mandatory but highly encouraged! http://iredell.readsquared.com/

• Middle and Upper School students have grade level specific books.

 

*In addition, Upper School students taking AP (Advanced Placement) classes may have summer assignments. These are also found at the link for Upper School Summer Reading.

Uniforms - the full uniform policy and vendor information may be found in the Family Quick Links section. 
 

Pine Lake Prep requires uniforms for all students.  We have three vendors that parents may use to purchase uniforms, Lands’ End, BSN Sports (limited ordering window), and a third local vendor TBD. 

In a nutshell, students wear polos and other optional items in the classroom. There are opportunities to buy PLP-branded sweatshirts that may be worn any day, and “spirit wear” tee shirts that may be worn on Fridays. 

Uniform bottoms (khaki or navy pants, shorts, or skorts), may be purchased from any store, such as Old Navy, Gap, Belk, American Eagle, etc. 
 

Physical Education

P.E. uniforms are optional for students in Kindergarten through grade 2. Students in grades 3 and older must wear P.E. uniforms on days they have the class. Lower School students (K-5) have P.E. once weekly and may stay in their P.E. clothes all day. 

Middle and Upper School students wear P.E. clothes just for class, and change into regular uniforms for the rest of the day. 

 * We ask that all families purchase a navy polo, as all students wear those in yearbook photos. 

Gently Used Items

 

The PTO hosts multiple Used Uniform Sales, where gently used items may be purchased for $5 each. 

 

There is also a FaceBook page on which parents may post items.  Search for “Pine Lake Prep Parent Exchange.”

 

Transportation - PLP provides busing to community stops.

 

Students are not picked up at individual homes, but rather centrally located stops throughout Huntersville, Cornelius and Mooresville.  

PLP runs five morning routes and 12 afternoon routes, which are staggered specific to the dismissal times of the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools.

There is a wait list for some routes and current year riders are given priority to sign up for seats next year. We will begin setting up routes for next year in the weeks to come.
