Lindsay Harroff, Ph.D
M.A. in Communication Studies
Ph.D. in Communication Studies
I fell in love with teaching during my graduate studies at the University of Kansas. After a couple years as a university professor in south Florida, I knew I wanted to shift my career to focus more on teaching, in an environment conducive to forming strong relationships among teachers and students. Community is important to me in the classroom and in my personal life, and I was also ready to be closer to my family in Mooresville and Concord. I could not be happier to be part of the PLP community! Outside of school, I enjoy being, well, OUTSIDE! I'm an avid runner, lifelong equestrian, and animal lover, with a particular soft spot for senior pups and teeny kittens.

I am originally from New York, but have lived in Mooresville since 2013 with my wife Erin. Together we have two children; Jackson and Madelyn and we look forward for them to join the Pine Lake Prep community in the near future.
I’ve taught social studies for over ten years and am passionate about helping my students develop durable skills that will help prepare them for college and careers. Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, officiating soccer, watching football, and attending concerts and plays.

Master of Arts in Teaching, UNC-Charlotte
I teach because developing engaged citizens is directly related to maintaining the freedoms we have inherited. The courses I teach allow me to play a meaningful role in that endeavor.
Anthony Irwin
My educational philosophy is that students learn best when they are actively engaged in science through activities such as reading, discussing, experimenting, and solving problems. My role is to create more experiences in which my students construct their own understanding of science and how our universe works.
Lori Kessler
M.A. Secondary Education- Chemistry- Lewis University, Romeoville, IL
Certified Learning Behavior Specialist
I have recently relocated to Mooresville with my husband, 2 teenage sons, and the family dog we rescued, Tater. I am excited to get to meet the students and families of the Pine Lake Prep community. Earlier in my career, I taught Chemistry at a community college for 9 years while working as an analytical scientist in the personal care and packaging industries. After going into the education field full time I taught many science classes and the last 5 years which have been exclusively focused on AP Chemistry and Honors Chemistry. As a teacher, I will work to ensure the classroom will be a safe space in which to develop our abilities. We will actively exchange ideas while developing our critical thinking skills. In the pursuit of growth, we will overcome challenges, develop resilience, and deal with setbacks and failures productively achieving mastery through practice.
