FIRST

Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We are so glad to be a part of FIRST® Robotics Competition which people refer to as the ultimate Sport for the Mind. As high-school students, we get to participate in what FIRST® calls “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.”

Though  strict rules, limited time and resources, FIRST® challenges teams of students to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors.

There is no doubt that in preparation for our future in STEM, this is as close to real-world engineering and business development that we can get.

Our mentors volunteer their time and talents to guide our team and we compete on both local, regional, and National/World Championship. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST® Championship this year hosted in Houston, Texas.
